Philanthropy 1-2-3

As individuals with time, talents and treasures, Kappas first support our sisters; second, we participate in local service projects; and third, we serve the greater good.
Philanthropy 1-2-3

As individuals with time, talents and treasures, Kappas first support our sisters; second, we participate in local service projects; and third, we serve the greater good.
1 - Sisters supporting sisters
The Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation has four program areas which benefit all of our members. The Foundation awards annual scholarships to derserving Kappas to help offset the cost of undergraduate and graduate education. The Rose McGill Fund, established in 1922, has many programs that give confidential aid to derserving Kappas of all ages who suddenly and unexpectedly find themselves in financial need due to misfortune or illness. The Foundation also supports the development and use of educational programs that benefit our membership such as the Kappa Trainer program and Leadership Academy. Finally, The Foundation supports the operation of The Hertiage Museum in Columbus, Ohio and The Stewart House Museum in Monmouth, Illinois.
2- Serving the local community
The local philanthropy of Epsilon Gamma is Tar Heel Trot, a 5K race, benefiting Friends for an Earlier Breast Cancer Test. This organization is a breast cancer research foundation whose sole purpose is to find an innovative, biological marker for earlier pre-tumor detection. Raising funds for Friends is an especially meaningful task for the sisters of this chapter because the organization was founded by Martha Kaley, an Epsilon Gamma alumnus and breast cancer survivor. For more information, please visit our Tar Heel Trot page.
Additionaly, Epsilon Gamma hosts benefits for and participates in events such as Dance Marathon and Relay for Life. Our chapter women support activities hosted by other Greeks and are involved in several philanthropies outside of Kappa:
