Our Chapter

  • The Epsilon Gamma Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma was established in 1958 at UNC and has been a thriving part of the women's Greek system ever since. Kappa is one of the strongest international sororities with over 136 chapters in United States and Canada.

Our chapter has much to be proud of: we recently celebrated our 50th anniversary in the same house that the Epsilon Gamma founders called home. Our chapter GPA was well above the all-women UNC-Chapel Hill average, and many of our members were inducted into honor societies and were placed on the dean's list. We log hundreds of community service hours every semester, and our annual Tar Heel Trot 5k, support alumna Martha Kaley's Friends for an Earlier Breast Cancer Test, is coming up on its 12th incarnation.

We host family and alumnae weekends, participate in philanthropy events hosted by other fraternities, sororities and organizations. Whether it be bonding with Kappas from other chapters at Founders Day and Initiation or cheering on the sister who won Miss Greek during UNC's 1st annual Greek Week, studying for finals on Study Porch at the Epsilon Gamma house or celebrating the end of the academic year at our spring Sapphire Ball, you can be sure that Kappa Kappa Gamma will ensure that your college years are full of wonderful memories!
